Manjit is the founder of  Shivayog.  She is  Yoga  Acharya "Master of Yoga". She has been practicing yoga from 1996. Yoga is her passion. She is a Certified graduate   from International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre Paradise Island,  Bahamas & Val Morine, Quebec, Canada. She is also certified  trainer to teach yoga to  heart patients and got her training with Nischala Joy Devi in Bahamas.

She is certified Panch Karma Technician from Kerala India (trained in variety of massages and accupressure). Certified reflexologist from Canadian Association of Reflexology Certified Colon Hydrotherapist from Prime Pacific Vancouver, Canada.

Manjit is Certified Laughter Yoga Leader by Dr. Kataria School Of Laughter Yoga.

She has attended  other several  yoga workshops and other health related courses  such as touch for healing, shiatsu, aquafitness, aerobic fitness, cpr training, vipassana which is meditation, and many different syles of  yoga.

Manjit teaches with care, love, and encourage to listen to your body and never go beyond your limits. Always find your edge when you stretch, hold on to that edge,   focus within the body, and move on step by step.   Her style of teaching is very gentle, simple,  and suitable for all ages.

Manjit is available to teach yoga at your locations; In any Yoga Studio or Recreation Centre. Lessons for beginner, intermediate and power yoga levels are available.

Yoga session:

Yoga is a stretching exercise  with deep breathings,  breathing exercises, and  deep relaxtion.  Practitioner  must wear  loose clothes, and should have no food minimum from last two hours, or if food is too heavy, then wait for three hours, if light snack then one hour.

Gentle stretching, constricting, and relaxing body parts with deep breathing body release the build up tension in muscles, In beginning anybody who never practised yoga may feel soreness in all different parts of body. Which is normal and it can be avoided if you follow the rule " train yourself not to strain yourself" in other words begin slowly and gently at your own pace. Yoga is indivudual practice to know yourself.  No two bodies are same. 

Don't practice if:

- pregnant who never practiced yoga before
- any recent surgery
- any recent fracture
- during asthma attack
- uncontrolled blood pressure
- fever
- cancer

or any other limitations, consult with your doctor.

Physical Benefits of yoga asanas:

  • Promote better blood circulation and a stronger heart.
  • Promote health by increasing the range of motion in the joints, keeping the body mobile.
  • Help gradually to improve any faulty alignment of body posture.
  • Help to prevent particularly kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis.

    Benefits of yogic breathings:
  1. Increase lung capacity
  2. Strengthen lungs.
  3. Balancing the brain and pituitary gland

Mental benefits:

  1. Mind becomes more focused, clear and calm.
  2. Calm mind helps to practice meditation

Benefits of yogic relaxation: 

  • Helps to remove any build up tension of body and mind
  • Increase healing capacities
  • Helps regain freshness and rejuvenation
